This is a security device used to detect the presense of various types of radiation, My part of the project was to work closely with the hardware designer in specifying the details of the proprietary hardware platform, and to provide the low-level drivers to control all hardware devices, which includes the gamma detector, as well as serial ports, parallel ports, alarm contacts, indicators and sense points.
